In the 1940s, Reverend Perry recognized the importance and the impact of education in the community. His vision for Carver Community Center, Inc. was grounded in the need for more informal learning opportunities in Kokomo, Indiana to encourage youth to continue their formal education and promote post-secondary education and job-readiness skills.
Over the past 70 years, the face of education has changed dramatically, but one detail has not: Carver Community Center, Inc. is a hub of educational growth. Some of our current programs include after-school tutoring, computer-lab use and training, and Science, Technology, Education, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM) projects like Robotics!
Our tutors are available from 4-6, Monday through Thursday.
