The Story and History of Carver
Reverend Henry A. Perry had a vision for a place that young black youth could go for recreation in a time where there wasn't a place at all really. Beginning as a place of recreation, Carver soon developed into an institution of learning for children and adults. That is a legacy that continues at Carver today, it is an institution of learning in the realm of STEM programs, sports and recreation, even in the area of music. Carver is a wellspring of hope an inspiration to all regardless of age or gender. We hope to find that you have a story to tell about Carver and just how impact this place has been in your life!
